Racism isn’t a new thing. Slavery isn’t new either. Discrimination, bigotry and prejudices are not new either and I don’t know why people are shocked at the terribly rude, vulgar, filled with contention, condescension and disgusting behavior of other people and although they never looked down on or thought less of another person. As though they had no value other than carrying out the orders of someone who thinks they know what’s good for, what they need, and want another person wants or needs.
I’m not sure if that flew over your head or not. I won’t be surprised if it did. Because if you haven’t picked up my drift by now, you will.
I have come to the conclusion that there are some serious problems with some of the present members of the human race especially in America. I say America because, that’s where live and apparently racism, bigotry, discrimination and prejudice does occur in larger numbers than we have previously assumed. There is no way to know how many instances occur in America or elsewhere, because of those unreported and undocumented cases, and those cases that don’t end well for the victims and those cases that have been buried by
No one really knows when, where, or who started it. There have been many discussions and documentaries written and published in popular magazines like National Geographic and on television various movies, series’ and public broadcasts that cover the topics of slavery and racism with so many various conceptual ideas of where and how it began. Some day it easy the Europeans, particularly The Vikings, others say it was people in Egypt and certain Mediterranean areas in and around the African continent.
l Only know that the practice is sickening. The fact that a human being can be demoralized, dehumanized and considered as property is appalling to say the least and there should be no debating that.
From what I understand, according to the historical remarks made in history, if it was the Vikings, they actually treated their slaves pretty good. If it was the Egyptians, and according to the Bible and other religious documents, “… The burdens of those slaves waxed sore… ” If it was The Europeans, apparently, they took more than a few pages from The Egyptians tactics manual. With an emphasis on waxing sore.
Those methods used to subdue and control were brutal. It only showed how brutal, naturalistic, animatistic and savage the human race can be. If given the opportunity to overpower, subdue and control another group of individuals.
Yeah, sure some people say that MOST of those brutal techniques were designed by Africans, Egypt is a part of Africa. They also say that Chinese or European persons, (not necessarily in that order beat their slaves regularly.
While it was common for the Vikings to adopt slaves into their families. Treating them fairly and justly, sometimes, passing on title normally destined to biological children. It was a matter of honor and principal, who was more deserving, who earned it.
Slaves were given an opportunity to prove their loyalty and were known to happily join the family of the people whose biological family members were, sometimes years before depending on the circumstances, completely slaughtered, beheaded, disemboweled, staked even crucified and burned, ( that’s just the way things were). Because we are bred in war and violence there is no exact way to tell who started it first.
Thing thing that makes human beings the only species on the planet that conducts slavery methods to inflict as much pain and suffering on the ones enslaved only to elevate or make themselves in a position of leader, owner or master/mistress is monetary gain.
It’s hard to see where there is profit to be made in the sale of another human being for a price, against the will of the person being brought to this position of slave or servant. Nevertheless, it happen everyday, even today in the form of human trafficking.
What current criminals who conduct human trafficking are definitely aware of, and what they will always encounter is fighters.
Human beings are Natural fighters, warriors, protectors and defenders but we will flip or sell out each other if and when given a chance or opportunity, without a second thought while considering the benefits of that betrayal. Always considering what price will be paid…
There is Always a price, or debt. Anytime, something as evil as slavery surfaces, or a possible threat that a country, village, city or town has a problem with missing persons, human trafficking is considered as a possible method determining the disappearance of persons.
These days, the likelihood of a person getting caught up in human trafficking and modern-day slavery and in this awful world of deception and violence is at a median.
As a side note, you can Google search how to avoid being a victim of human trafficking and get some really interesting facts, tips and safety measures that you and your family can take to ensure the safety of your friends and family.
We are opportunistic and unlike other species that enslave other species to do their bidding and carry their burdens, who after servitude are given mercy by a quick sometimes painless death. Like some insects that lay their eggs on live hosts, whose life will end most gruesomely. Is pacified with venom that numbs whatever discomfort or pain that the subject may inevitably feel during its demise. When it comes to people, no such consideration is measured. Compassion does not exist.
What about the so-called “free” slave?
The modern-day employee is the “free-slave”.
A patent… Is a “free-slave”
They wish only to survive in a world where they are hated and any efforts to alleviate any discomfort, provide assistance, console or protect is discouraged by the overseer.
Over the years, It went from, “You gotta make them learn that no one can help them. “ when the slaves were being forced into servitude. To “They have to realize that things don’t come easy. “ When they were freed as a result of Abraham Lincolns’ Emancipation Proclamation. To “Those people are lazy and on welfare. “ Today, after years of servitude and newly found freedoms.
They are hated with passion by people who have no idea why they hate. Other than that hate was based solely on the pigmentation of ones skin color? Or on their clever abilities. Like on the Box Office The Black Panther with the popular battle cry “Wakanda Forever”
I suppose that it is only natural for some people to get apprehensive about what else the people that they were forcing underfoot were capable of. They are very different by the way.
How ‘Did’ African Slaves Get Captured?
There has been dispute recently about how these slaves were captured. Some say that they were sold by their own people others disagree. I would like to interject a modern suggest, I think that I would like to say, “of course white slave owners may have used African tactics to capture Africans slaves. ” Slavery and racism is a topic that most people avoid altogether anyway.
Not me… My 10ft pole got shorter as I watch current events that are happening right now as we speak. Watching this occur in this country of supposed free men and women. The story that was never told is now unfolding. The Witness of the History rewriting or unravelling itself right before our eyes.
How would they have been able to subdue and control them?
Besides the threats on family members like holding children hostage until the person gives in. Or starving them or not letting them see loved ones also taken by force. The slave owner usually gets what they want.
Science doesn’t help either. Besides the introduction of diseases, the organization of systematic kidnappings and human trafficking… Just like today. ..
(I could say, “Alas” right here…)
Statistically, they have introduced drugs and every few years its something else more powerful to control those slaves to get them to do what they want…
It seems slavery has taken on new meaning. Like in Human Trafficking. The only Exception is the fact that it is Still forced. Usually forced upon the helpless, the weak and children… Mostly girls and women, some boys. Are forcibly kidnapped or taken from their parents and homes. Blind folded and Taken to places far away.
Sadly, For the most hideous and depraved acts performed on a live human being. Presently, there are scores of human trafficking survival stories.
What’s that about drugs and slavery?
Even though there are no particular nationalities specified as victims, because drugs affect all communities, society says they are casualties that have and will become entrapped in the designs meant to eradicate, subdue or control a particular races. The systematic destruction and attempted genocide continues to occur.
Can An Entire Race Be Killed off?
First let me say that it has been tried… Probably has been proven in the past that attempts have been made to erase entire blood lines of races.
However, you can never kill off an entire race of people. Nature will always find a way. As every parent tells their child, with tears in their eyes, ” You Must Live… ” are usually the last words heard before children are torn from their parents arms.
For African-Americans, I say It will never happen because it is impossible to kill off a Chosen People.
Perhaps, they were meant to bear the burdens of others who cannot do The Heavy Work for themselves… Regardless, they survived and their descendants are now enjoying those freedoms once denied to them so long ago. Nevertheless it seems, that presently, the way our so-called leaders retreat in the face of this horrid crime, that some of our government heads would like for that to happen.
What is slavery? My weird take on how slavery possibly occurred in Africa
The strong help the weak… Simple deduction…Right? Wrong.
Things probably would have went a lot smoother if some European slave owners weren’t so lazy.
I mean look at this…
Imagine, you are a wealthy sugar plantation farmer. Your plantations n deals in sugar processes from sugar cane grown and harvested on your farm.
You want to expand because the economy is getting better, and the population is growing at your settlement. You’re doing well producing sugar cane and cotton, (two pretty awesome commodities), at your plantation. However, cotton production is slow because you can’t pick the flowers fast enough to meet the demands of textile companies overseas.
You know that you need to find a way to maneuver your goods , and you need help.
You don’t even have a dock or port to work from. Doing your research, you decide to make arrangements to travel to Africa you hear that you can procure some help, (you’ve also heard that there are lots of trade opportunities and a plethora of services available for you and that its an old country with undiscovered riches a new country filled with idiot savages willing to strike a bargain… Oh and they call you “blue-eyed devil.
So you go to Africa to try to procure Inexpensive help to take back home… You can only imagine what your current help is doing by now. Because you have a little bit of experience and knowledge about who you left in charge when you left. Not sure how production is going, you continue on your way.
Arriving at your destination, you are not received as you expected, according to what you have heard… Just depends on how you made your first impression to be towards a people that has never seen a pale face before.
Perhaps you are welcomed. Perhaps as a welcomed visitor or even like a God.
The Chief of this active, somewhat unbelievably modern tribe of villagers decides to barter, “A Few Good Men” with you as a gesture of good will in a possible lucrative and possibly beneficial deal with the people. Things are looking great. Right?
In Africa in those days, a few good men was about 8 to 10 strong men and women that “CAN DO” The work of 5 or 6 average white indentured men or women. You soon realize that you needed more help than that of your initial bargaining.
To most decent people, this is a no-no. You cannot change up on a deal that has already been struck.
What would you do after you complete your mission and your business is already doing insufficiently with the help that you obtained?
You are barely meeting demand with your supply and as time goes by, and the population increases, yet again, you are forced to acquire more help. But you cannot afford to pay all of the help that you’re receiving. What are you going to live off of?
In the meanwhile, You’re getting all sorts of Admirers asking you how you built that “wonder, this business and where did you get those dark-skinned workers?
With pride, you inform them, that you took a trip to Africa and traded with The Chief. Your admirer begs you to go with them to talk with the Chief.
You are both under the impression that after a while, there ate many thousands of workers, ripe for the pickings . Also, with the further impression that you both can just “go there” and get the “same bargain”, after a fouled deal… Guess again…
Guess what’s next?
If you can only imagine?
What’s next is, Your friend has an attitude with the chief, because he can’t get “the same deal” if not better… Then all hell breaks loose. If you haven’t watched Amistaad or Roots, then you should.
Slaver slavery is STILL in full play. It doesn’t matter who started it… Racism is Still in Full play, it doesn’t matter who started it. It just needs to end.
We need more tolerance and compassion in the world rather than vice and discord.
Modern Day Slavery includes, human trafficking, unfair wages, a person can even become a slave to their children and families… Living lives that are not what they choose or how they respectively to live, its the same thing.
Unfortunately, nothing has been done to rectify any of the horrendous treatment that people of all races have experienced. We can only make effort not to treat others in this fashion. We are after all the same underneath our skins, the only difference is our gender. (Whether male or female). And age does not matter either, except in the case of human trafficking. Where age plays a crucial role in the amounts earned by victims. The numbers are astounding.
This is my objective opinion. I do have compassionate for the many hundred millions of people who have gone through the fires of slavery and racism and survived long enough If only to tell the tale.
Today, the term slavery is used loosely, and words like nigger or nigga has several meanings, uses and functions… Go figure? I which only a race of people are allowed to use the word loosely, or a person must be cautious of who they are around and racism is fat from over. They work hand in hand.
